Keystone Point Trash Collection information

Garbage Container (Dark Green Container with Black Lid)

Pickup is every Tuesday & Friday after 7 a.m.. Garbage is anything that is disposed of from inside the house, usually coming from the kitchen or wastebaskets. All household garbage must be placed inside knotted trash bags and the container placed on the edge of the swale or driveway no earlier than 24 hours before pickup and returned back to the side of your home within 24 hours of collection.

Yard trash that fits in to this container can also be placed inside this can otherwise yard trash that is too large to fit in the container must be placed out for Bulk Trash Collection including yard bags with leaves and other small trash that is not easily collected with trash removal equipment.

Recycle Container (Green Container with Tan Lid)

Picked up every Wednesday after 7 a.m.. Lid must be completely closed for the collectors to empty the container with their automated trucks. Items to dispose in this container are limited and must be made of:

  • Paper

  • Cardboard (Flattened) 4 feet x 4 feet max.

  • Glass jars & bottles (Empty & Rinsed)

  • Juice Cartons & Drink Boxes

  • Aluminum

  • Steel & Tin Cans

  • Plastic with Recycle symbol

  • Newspapers & Magazines

  • Telephone books

Items that cannot be recycled:

  • Most everything else not in the list above

  • Ceramics

  • Christmas Lights

  • Coat hangers

  • Computers, printers or other electronic devices

  • Electric extension cables

  • Garden hoses

  • Glass cookware/bakeware

  • Household items: pots & pans, toasters, etc.

  • Light bulbs

  • Mirrors

  • Plastic bags

  • Plastics without recycle symbol

  • Porcelain

  • Styrofoam – egg cartons, food containers, packing/shipping foam materials

  • Window or auto glass

 

Tips for Recycling:

  • Please do not place any recycleables in plastic trash bags

  • Place bulk newspapers or magazines in brown paper bags

  • Plastic bags clog the separating system and leads to contamination that causes loads to end up in the landfill. Please do not put recyclables into plastic bags.

Bulk Trash:

Bulk Trash Collection occurs every Friday after 7 a.m. from your swale and may be placed on your curb no earlier than 7 a.m. on Thursdays. If you have a gardener, they are responsible for removing your debris. Bulk limit per home is 8 cubic yards or approximately a container that measures 6’ wide x 4’ high x 9’ deep. Pickup for larger sizes of bulk trash will be billed to the homeowner by WastePro.

 

PLACE YOUR YARD LEAVES & DEBRIS INTO TRASH BAGS!  NO LOOSE LEAVES SHOULD BE LEFT ON THE SWALE!
